Whether you’re a seasoned paddler or never held a dragon boat paddle in your life, you’ve found the right club. We love teaching beginners and welcome experienced paddlers too. We encourage all prospective paddlers to come try it out. If paddling is not your thing, we are always looking for dedicated steerspersons—a vital role in our boat!
New to paddling?
DROP-IN
Drop-in paddlers are welcome on Tuesdays during the month of May only. It is the ideal way to try the sport out or see if our team is a fit for you! PFD and paddle provided.
Please complete the registration process 24 hours in advance.
Register Online: Fill out a Drop-In Registration and Waiver Form.
Fees: Drop-In fees are $10 per session.
Payment: E-transfer to evdbstreasurer@gmail.com (Include your name in the comments).

Annual membership term is April-March. Membership is renewed each year by filling out the Member Registration and paying the annual fees.

Practices: Tuesdays & Thursdays
Time: Arrive at 6:45 am (gear-up/warm-up) | On the water 7:00 – 8:00 am
Our team name is Draggin the Shuswap, and we are proud to be supported by our local Branch #99 of the Royal Canadian Legion.
What you can expect from us
Dragon boat, paddles, PFDs (lifejackets)
Friendly coaches instructing on proper paddle technique
Competent steerspersons familiar with our lake environment
Warm-ups before practice, optional coffee meet-ups after
A super supportive, welcoming atmosphere!
What we expect from you
Be punctual and prepared to paddle
Be familiar with the clubs Code of Conduct and policies
Treat teammates with respect and positivity – we’re all here to have fun
Let the coach know if you’ll miss practices for an extended time
